Summer 2020 Conditioning

Dear Parent/Guardian,

Fowler Junior/Senior High School will begin offering a conditioning program to students entering 6th-12th grades on Monday, June 15th.

In compliance with KSHSAA regulations for summer activities, each athlete is required to complete 2 weeks of conditioning before they are eligible to participate in summer camps or sport specific practices. Per KSHSAA, “The conditioning period is required and designed to gradually acclimate students back into activities following an extended period of inactivity. The focus should be on general conditioning, including stretching, running, lifting, agility drills, and sport specific movements.” Therefore, attendance will be taken during conditioning sessions. Students should complete at least 10 sessions over the 3 week period to be eligible for any further activities. Coaches and administration will determine what to offer next to athletes based on the results of the conditioning program.

Conditioning activities will be designed to comply with social distancing and sanitary regulations. All students must bring their own water bottle. Students should not attend conditioning if they are feeling sick.

Dates: Monday through Friday, June 15 - July 2

Hours: 6:00-7:00 p.m.

Supervision: Coach Peterson, Coach Bird, & Coach Faurot

Students will meet outside the weight room to receive directions.

Please let us know if you have any questions. We are excited to provide this opportunity to help our students re-engage in physical activities!
