USD 225 is excited to partner with the Fowler Recreation Commission in order to improve
health and wellness resources in our community. The district is working to increase access to
wellness equipment which includes upgrading the weight room facilities in order to provide
additional options for exercising and working out.
The following outline has been planned by the district in order to successfully accomplish this
collaborative project.
1. Installing new access to both the cardio wellness room and weight room. This will entail
creating electronic access to both facilities $1,400 (estimate).
2. Purchasing new weight room equipment (order below):
a. 5-75 Complete Rubber Dumbbell Set $2,198
b. Kettlebells 10, 30, 40 $146
c. 2 Power Rack Combo $3,200 ($6,400) 16 Weight Pegs $520 ($1,040)
d. 4 Spotter Arms $340 ($680)
e. 4 Fab-01B Incline Flat Adjustable Benches $400 ($1,600)
Total Cost $12,064 (tentative)
USD 225 believes in increasing community access to our facilities and collaborating with all
stakeholders. The opportunity to improve our communities wellness plan through this joint
project is another way to engage our families and work together to improve our standard of
living.
Increasing our health and wellness options will ultimately provide individuals the opportunity to
become more active and help community members “Feel Better, Be Healthy, and Live Longer.”
