USD #225 Board of Education Meeting
January 8, 2018, 7 p.m.
Call to order: Dave Snook, Vice-President, called the meeting to order at 7 p.m. Pledge of Allegiance was recited and Lundeen led in prayer.
Members present: Dave Snook, Jamie Boese, Fred Boyd, Seth Hageman and Tom Huelskamp were present. Others present were Corri McDowell, Principal, Jeff Bollinger, Superintendent, Paula Kay Watson, Board Clerk. Barb Whitney and Richie Dewell were absent.
Recognition of Visitors/Communication: Visitors present, Debbie Wise, Tammy Bollinger, Steve Lundeen and Mark Bergkamp.
Swearing in new Board Members: Tom Huelskamp and Seth Hageman were sworn in. Mark Bergkamp and Steve Lundeen were presented with plaques for their years of service on the board.
7:05 p.m. Mark Bergkamp and Steve Lundeen left the meeting.
Board Re-organization: Boese nominated Barb Whitney for President and Dave Snook for Vice-President. Boyd seconded. Motion carried 5-0.
Approve Consent Agenda: Boese moved, seconded by Boyd to approve the Consent Agenda. Motion carried 5-0.
REPORTS Principal: Mrs. McDowell gave her report.
Economic Development, Jamie Boese, representative, said they wouldn’t have a meeting until February.
Special Education,
Superintendent, Mr. Bollinger gave his report.
SPIAA League: Tabled until next meeting.
8:01 p.m. 5 minute break
8:06 p.m. Meeting resumed
SKI-CAN: A motion was made by Hageman to continue with SKI-CAN. Seconded by Boyd. Motion carried 5-0.
Summit Learning: Boyd moved and Boese seconded to continue the second phase of the application for Summit Learning. Motion carried 5-0.
Adjournment: A motion was made by Huelskamp, seconded by Boyd to adjourn the meeting. Motion carried 5-0. Time: 9:37 p.m.
