USD #225 Board of Education Meeting
April 9, 2018, 7 p.m.
Call to order: Barb Whitney, President, called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. Pledge of Allegiance was recited and Whitney led in prayer.
Members present: Barb Whitney, Dave Snook, Richie Dewell, Jamie Boese, Fred Boyd, Seth Hageman and Tom Huelskamp were present. Others present were Corri McDowell, Principal, Jeff Bollinger, Superintendent, Paula Kay Watson, Board Clerk.
Recognition of Visitors/Communication: Visitors listed on sign-in sheets.
Amend Consent Agenda: Snook moved, seconded by Boese to amend the Consent Agenda. Motion carried 7-0.
Approve Amended Consent Agenda: Snook moved, seconded by Dewell to approve the Consent Agenda. Motion carried 7-0.
Snook moved to move Executive Session before Personnel. Boyd seconded. Motion carried 7-0.
REPORTS Principal: Mrs. McDowell gave her report.

Superintendent, Mr. Bollinger gave his report.
Adoption Agreement & Consultant Service Contract: Hageman moved, seconded by Dewell to approve the Adoption Agreement and Consultant Service Contract with Kansas Association of School Boards Legal Assistance Fund. Motion carried 7-0.
Executive Session: At 7:19 p.m., Boese moved that the board go into executive session to discuss personnel matters of nonelected personnel with Mr. Bollinger for 15 minutes. Huelskamp seconded. The session is required to protect the privacy interest of the individuals to be discussed. The board returned to open the meeting at 7:34. Motion carried 7-0.
Nonrenewal of a Teacher’s Contract: Boese moved, seconded by Snook to nonrenew Cecilia Hodde for the 2018-2019 school year. Motion carried 6-1. Richie moved to nonrenew Kamisha Howe for the 2018-2019 school year. Boyd seconded. Motion carried 7-0.
Adjournment: A motion was made by Snook, seconded by Huelskamp to adjourn the meeting. Motion carried 7-0. Time: 7:39 p.m.
