USD #225 Board of Education Special Meeting
January 20, 2020, 7:00 P.M.
Call to order: T.J. Milford, Board President, called the meeting to order at 6:57 p.m.
Members present: Fred Boyd, Ed Rarden, Jamie Boese, T.J. Milford, Cathy Heinz, Kimberly Copenhaver, and Tom Huelskamp were present. Others present were Erica Rarden, Board Clerk.
Recognition of Visitors/Communication: Dennis McDowell and Andy Boyd
Executive Session: Huelskamp moved, seconded by Boyd to go into executive session for 20 minutes (board only) to discuss personnel matters of non-elected personnel exception under KOMA. This session is required to protect the privacy interests of the individual(s) to be discussed. Motion carried 7-0. 6:58 p.m.
Boyd moved, seconded by Heinz to go into executive session for 30 minutes, Board Clerk was invited to join session. Motion carried 7-0. 7:19 p.m. (Board Clerk exited executive session at 7:39 p.m.)
Heinz moved, seconded by Huelskamp to go into executive session for 10 minutes, board only. Motion carried 7-0. 7:51 p.m.
Huelskamp moved, seconded by Copenhaver to go into executive session for 15 minutes, board only. Motion carried 7-0. 8:01 p.m.
Rarden moved, seconded by Huelskamp to go into executive session for 10 minutes, board only. Motion carried 7-0. 8:18 p.m.
Heinz moved, seconded by Rarden to go into executive session for 10 minutes, board only. Motion carried 7-0. 8:29 p.m.
Jeff Bollinger joined the meeting at 8:40 p.m.
Boyd moved, seconded by Copenhaver to go into executive session for 15 minutes, Superintendent invited to join session, to discuss personnel matters of non-elected personnel exception under KOMA. This session is required to protect the privacy interests of the individual(s) to be discussed. Motion carried 7-0. 8:42 p.m.
Heinz moved, seconded by Copenhaver to go into executive session for 10 minutes, board and superintendent. Motion carried 7-0. 8:58 p.m. Superintendent exited meeting at 9:03 p.m.
Copenhaver moved, seconded by Huelskamp to go into executive session for 15 minutes, board only. Motion carried 7-0. 9:09 p.m.
Heinz moved, seconded by Milford to go into executive session for 5 minutes, board only. Motion carried 7-0. 9:25 p.m.
Adjournment: A motion was made by Heinz, seconded by Huelskamp to adjourn the meeting. Motion carried 7-0. Time: 9:32 p.m.
