USD #225 Board of Education Meeting
January 18, 2021, 7:00 P.M.
Call to order: T.J. Milford, Board President, called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.
Members present: Fred Boyd, Ed Rarden, Kimberly Copenhaver, Jared Weber, Tom Huelskamp, Cathy Heinz, and T.J. Milford were present. Others present were Cherie Nicholson, Superintendent, Corri McDowell, Principal, and Erica Littlewood, Board Clerk.
Recognition of Visitors/Communication: Debbie Wise, Jennifer Faurot, Kim McLachlan, Emily Dizmang, Jeff Zortman, Charlie Littlewood, Cord Moss, and Pat Friess.
Approve Consent Agenda: Rarden moved, seconded by Boyd to approve the Consent Agenda. Motion carried 7-0.
DISCUSSION
BOE President and Vice President Election: Copenhaver moved, seconded by Heinz to pass a resolution to retain the current elected positions until July 2021.
Kennedy McKee & Company Audit Report: Pat Friess gave his audit report.
District Spectator Policy: Copenhaver moved, seconded by Milford to return to the district’s previous policy before the KSHSAA restrictions effective January 28, 2021. Motion carried 7-0.
Board Member Retreat: Board member retreat scheduled for March 6.

Economic Development: Milford – no report given.
Special Ed Co-Op: Copenhaver gave her report.
