July 8, 2022, 8:30 A.M.
Call to order: T.J. Milford, Board President, called the meeting to order at 8:32 a.m. Pledge of Allegiance was recited and Copenhaver led a prayer.
Members present: TJ Milford, Kim Copenhaver, Dana Bartezko, & Jeff Zortman were present. Others present were Erica Littlewood, Board Clerk, Jamie Wetig, Superintendent, and Corri McDowell, Principal.
Cathy Heinz and Fred Boyd were not present.
Recognition of Visitors/Communication: Kim McLachlan and Debbie Wise
Consent Agenda: Milford moved, seconded by Copenhaver to approve the agenda as presented. Motion carried 5-0.
EXECUTIVE SESSION
Milford moved, seconded by Copenhaver to go into executive session for 20 minutes to discuss non-elected personnel under KOMA, board and Wetig. This session is required to protect the privacy interests of the individual(s) to be discussed. Motion carried 4-0. 8:34 a.m.
Copenhaver moved, seconded by Bartezko to go into executive session for 30 minutes to discuss non-elected personnel (Negotiated Agreement) under KOMA, board and Wetig. This session is required to protect the privacy interests of the individual(s) to be discussed. Motion carried 4-0. 8:55 a.m.
Milford moved, seconded by Zortman to go back into executive session for 15 minutes. Motion carried 4-0. 9:28 a.m.
Zortman moved, seconded by Milford to go back into executive session for 5 minutes. Motion carried 4-0. 9:43 a.m.
PERSONNEL
Superintendent Contract – Zortman moved, seconded by Bartezko to approve the 140-day contract for Jamie Wetig. This contract will void the previously approved contract. Motion carried 4-0.
DISCUSSION
July Regular BOE Meeting – Milford moved, seconded by Copenhaver to move the regular July board meeting to Thursday, July 14 at 8:30 a.m. Motion carried 4-0.
Adjournment – Milford moved, seconded by Zortman to adjourn meeting. Motion carried 4-0 9:56 a.m.
