USD #225 Board of Education Meeting
March 4th, 2019, 7 p.m.
Call to order: Barb Whitney, President, called the meeting to order at 7:01 p.m. Pledge of Allegiance was recited and Whitney led in prayer.
Members present: Barb Whitney, Richie Dewell, Fred Boyd, Ed Rarden, Jamie Boese, and Tom Huelskamp were present. Others present were Jeff Bollinger, Superintendent, Corri McDowell, Principal, Erica Rarden, Board Clerk, and Valerie Crone, Deputy Board Clerk.
Recognition of Visitors/Communication: Sign-in sheet available.
Approve Consent Agenda: Boese moved, seconded by Dewell to approve the Consent Agenda. Motion carried 6-0.
REPORTS Superintendent, Mr. Bollinger gave his report.
Economic Development, Jamie Boese, representative – No report given
Special Education, Jamie Boese, representative – No report given
Principal: Mrs. McDowell gave her report.
Vacant board position: Will schedule interview at later date. No action taken.
Senior Trip Agenda: Savannah Bollinger presented agenda. Huelskamp moved, seconded by Boyd to approve the 2019 senior trip agenda as presented. Motion carried 6-0.
Personnel: Boyd move, seconded by Boese to approve Taylin Bird for JH/HS assistant track coach. Motion carried 6-0.
Rarden moved, seconded by Boese to extend principal contract for the 2019-2020 year with no salary increase and add district paid family insurance benefit. Motion carried 5-1 (Boyd)
Adjournment: A motion was made by Huelskamp, seconded by Boyd to adjourn the meeting. Motion carried 6-0. Time: 7:46 p.m.
